Private catamaran charter from Zadar, Croatia

Best of Zadar Yachting helps you choose between three partner-operated catamarans departing from Marina Zadar, formerly Tankerkomerc: Lagoon 42 Da Vinci, Lagoon 450 S Michelangelo and Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 La Grange. Your enquiry is for the whole boat, for one or more full weeks with Saturday arrivals and departures.

This is a private charter for your family or friends, rather than a shared cabin cruise. The choice between bareboat and skippered charter affects your responsibilities, the documents to check, sleeping arrangements and the total budget. Start with those decisions before comparing weekly prices.

Skippered catamaran charter: ask for support on board

A skippered charter is worth considering when nobody in your group wants to take responsibility for sailing the boat or has the qualifications accepted by the operator. You request a skipper who handles navigation and boat operation, planning each day around weather and your group’s preferences.

Discuss your wishes before departure: quiet bays, time ashore or visits to the islands can inform a flexible plan. A skipper cannot guarantee a fixed route regardless of conditions. Nor does hiring a skipper automatically include a chef, hostess or meals. Clarify the services you want, the skipper’s meals and a suitable sleeping space in your offer.

Bareboat catamaran charter: sail with your own qualified skipper

Bareboat means that a qualified member of your group takes responsibility for operating the catamaran. The charter operator must accept the skipper’s sailing qualifications and any required radio certificate. Send the relevant documents for review before assuming your charter can be confirmed.

Practical experience matters alongside documentation. Your skipper should be comfortable with catamaran handling, anchoring, berthing and planning around the forecast. If your experience is mainly on other boat types or you are unsure about the requirements, tell us when enquiring. You can discuss requesting a skipper instead.

How much does a catamaran charter from Zadar cost?

The boat’s weekly rate depends on the model and your dates. The 2027 seasonal prices displayed on the yacht pages include VAT. A personal offer confirms availability, the charter price and the services requested for your specific week.

  • Mandatory Comfort Pack: €500 per charter. Final cleaning, bed linen, one large and one small towel per person, tender with outboard, unlimited Wi-Fi and diver inspection.
  • Optional skipper: €200 per day plus meals. Seven charged days would be €1,400 plus meals. Confirm the exact billing and availability in your offer.
  • Refundable security deposit: €2,500. Separate from the charter price and subject to the operator’s conditions.
  • Other trip costs: fuel, berths, provisions, any national park entry and selected optional extras.

For example, add €500 for the Comfort Pack to the confirmed weekly boat price. With seven charged skipper days, add a further €1,400. That is €1,900 in those additional services before skipper meals and other trip expenses. Budget separately for the refundable deposit. This calculation is a planning example, not an all-inclusive quote.

Da Vinci is the shortest option at 12.80 metres. Michelangelo is the longest and widest in this selection, at 13.96 metres long and 7.84 metres wide. La Grange is the newest, built in 2022, with four main cabins and one additional single cabin.

The additional cabins are not equivalent to the main guest cabins. Look at each boat’s layout and confirm how the skipper would be accommodated. Maximum capacity always includes the skipper and other crew; it is not a count of guests plus a skipper.

Plan an island week in the Zadar archipelago

Dugi otok, the Kornati islands and smaller island villages are possible destinations from Zadar. Your route should suit the weather, available berths, distances and your crew’s interests. These are examples of destinations, not a fixed or guaranteed itinerary.

Leave time for handover at the beginning of your charter and for returning to base. Exact Saturday arrival and departure instructions are confirmed in the offer. If you need transfers or have particular travel arrangements, mention them in your enquiry so they can be discussed separately.

What to include in your charter enquiry

  1. Choose the catamaran and your preferred Saturday-to-Saturday dates.
  2. Tell us the number of adults and children, including any flexibility in your plans.
  3. Say whether you need a skipper or have a qualified skipper in your group.
  4. For bareboat charter, provide qualifications for the operator to review.
  5. Review your personal offer, including all confirmed costs and charter conditions.

An enquiry does not block the calendar or create a reservation. Availability is checked before an offer is sent, and the charter is confirmed after the offer and acceptance.

Catamaran charter questions

Can I charter a catamaran without sailing experience?

You can request a skipper for your private charter. Bareboat charter requires a qualified skipper in your group whose sailing qualifications and any required radio certificate are accepted by the operator.

How much does a skipper cost for a week?

The supplied skipper rate is €200 per day plus meals. Seven charged days would cost €1,400 plus meals, in addition to the boat and other charter costs. The exact calculation and skipper availability are confirmed in your offer.

Is this a crewed, all-inclusive catamaran holiday?

No. You are enquiring about a private whole-boat charter with an optional skipper. A chef, hostess, meals, fuel and berth fees are not automatically included. Your offer confirms the requested services and costs.

Can I rent a single cabin or book a day trip?

These three boats are offered for whole-boat charter for one or more full weeks, Saturday to Saturday. A shared cabin cruise or day trip is not the booking format offered here.

Does the website confirm my booking immediately?

No. An enquiry does not reserve the boat or block dates. We check availability and send a personal offer. Your charter is confirmed after the offer and acceptance.
